Wantisden Wartime Weekend

The Hollesley Players were invited to perform a selection of wartime songs at the very successful 'Wartime Weekend' held at Wantisden Barns on the 26th & 27th September 2009.

In contemporary costume representing the Armed Forces, the Womens' Land Army and the Volunteer Services, members of the Players sang a set of 1940s favourites including "Anything Goes", "Putting on the Ritz", "Chattanooga Choo Choo" and, of course, Vera Lynn's "White Cliffs of Dover" and "We'll Meet Again".
